About Robert A. Zambrowski, DMD, MAGD
Dr. Robert Zambrowski has had the privilege of serving Hampstead and the surrounding area for over 45 years. Dr. Zambrowski received his BA from Marquette University in 1970 and his Doctor of Dental Medicine from the NJ School of Medicine and Dentistry in 1974. Upon graduation, he further enhanced his knowledge and experience with a one-year residency at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital, and in 1990 he completed a two-year comprehensive dental program at the University of Florida.
In 1991, he became a Master in the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD). The AGD Mastership Award is presented to dentists who seek to provide the highest quality dental care by remaining current in their profession. In 2009, he received the prestigious AGD Lifelong Learning and Achievement Award.
He is a member of the American Dental Association, Cape Fear Study Club, NC Dental Society, and Past President of The NC Academy of General Dentistry. Currently, he serves as a dental examiner with the Council of Interstate Testing Agency (CITA), helping to administer the dental and dental hygiene exam to new dentists and hygienists. Dr. Zambrowski is also a Fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry and a Fellow in the Academy of Dentistry International. He was inducted into the American College of Dentist as a Fellow, and was honored with the Citizenship Award by the NC Dental Society in 2018. In addition, Dr. Zambrowski is active in many church, civic, and community activities and organizations, including Boys Scouts, and Missions of Mercy projects. Notably he is an Eagle Scout, receiving the National Eagle Scout Award in 2016 and the Silver Beaver award from the Cape Fear Council in 2018.
Dr. Zambrowski resides in Hampstead with his wife of 31 years, Lu Anne. He has two children, Abbey (Jeff) and Michael (Taylor), and two granddaughters (Haleigha and Jolene). When not at work, he enjoys his family, fishing, especially fly fishing, and traveling.
